Jason Parkhurst-Imagn Images - Three Keys To Victory: Sharks Host Kings After Super First Win

The San Jose Sharks will have to quickly move on from their crazy comeback win as they take on the Los Angeles Kings tonight.

Here are three keys to victory:

    1. Remember the feeling of winning and use it as motivation

After another tough start to the season, the 24-25 Sharks finally got their first taste of victory last night. Head coach Ryan Warsofsky had been trying to get his team to believe they could win but never saw the result.

With the W under their belt, the Sharks must use the feeling of winning and chase it again.

    2. Get the first goal

The Sharks have fallen behind in eight of their ten games this season. When the Kings and Sharks played last Thursday, San Jose fell behind 3-0 in the first period. They came back to make it a one-goal game, but getting off to a good start has been a challenge.

The Kings have been off for two days and could be sluggish. With San Jose playing last night, using their momentum from the end of the game could help create a better start.

    3. Secondary scoring is still needed

The Sharks' win last night was electric, but they still lacked depth scoring. Fabian Zetterlund scored twice, and Mikael Granlund scored yet again. The top contributors are always needed, but they can't be relied upon every night.

Alex Wennberg is a player the Sharks signed that has been searching for some offense. The center played one of his best games of the season and capped it with an overtime winner.

Jake Walman had three assists and provided much-needed offensive production from the blue line. For the Sharks to stay competitive in games, they need their depth to contribute.
