    Alexander Wennberg scored the overtime-winning goal for the San Jose Sharks' first win of the season, 5-4, over Utah HC.

    Fabian Zetterlund scored twice. Mikael Granlund and Tyler Toffoli each scored once. Mackenzie Blackwood made 19 saves. Jake Walman had three assists. Will Smith did not play as part of his development plan. Ty Dellandrea missed the game with an upper-body injury.

    Sharks defenseman Mario Ferraro told reporters that San Jose would win the game after the team lost its ninth game in a row last Saturday. 

    Utah scored two goals from Matias Maccelli. Mikhail Sergachev scored his first goal with his new team. Dylan Guenther scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season. Connor Ingram made 41 saves.

    San Jose outshot Utah 46-23. San Jose has struggled to generate offense in recent games, so a shot output of this nature is encouraging. Tonight's win marks the first of head coach Ryan Warsofsky's NHL coaching career.

    Dylan Guenther scored his sixth goal of the season, giving Utah HC the 1-0. 

    Matias Maccelli scored his first goal of the season to further the Utah lead to 2-0.

    Fabian Zetterlund goes coast-to-coast and beats Ingram to the far side to score his fourth goal of the season and make it a 2-1 game in the second period.

    Maccelli scored his second of the game after a tough rebound was given up, and he was left all alone. Mario Ferraro and Nico Sturm both went to cover the same person in front of the net. 

    Mikhail Sergachev scored his first goal with his new club to make it 4-1.

    Zetterlund scored his second goal of the game.

    Mikael Granlund gets the Sharks a chance to tie the game with his fifth goal of the season, 25 seconds after Zetterlund scored.

    Tyler Toffoli ties the game at four! San Jose has now scored three goals in 1:50.

    Wennberg scored the overtime-winning goal, the first of his Sharks career.
