Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports - Three Takeaways From Sharks 2-0 Win Over Golden Knights

The San Jose Sharks dominated their visit to T-Mobile Arena for their fifth preseason game, walking away with a 2-0 win.

Here are three takeaways from last night.

    1. Kaapo Kahkonen looks totally different

Kaapo Kahkonen has looked like a completely different goalie than last season.

In both of his preseason starts, the netminder has looked calm, cool, and poised in the crease. He made two cross-crease saves look casual last night.

"I just think he really came into camp ready to go," David Quinn said postgame. "He was mentally in a good place. He was in great shape. He's had a very good camp, and he played great tonight and made it look easy. I never thought we were going to give up a goal the way he was playing."

    2. Ty Emberson Impresses

Ty Emberson was impressive in his San Jose Sharks preseason debut. He was physical and a defensive stalwart all night long.

Emberson told the media that he prides himself on making a good first pass. If he made a great defensive play, he would turn the puck back up ice and create a rush chance.

"I thought he was very good," Quinn said.

Emberson has only been in San Jose briefly, but he is leaving an impression.

    3. Hello William Eklund

William Eklund had himself a game last night. He showed off the skill that made him a top-ten pick.

Eklund was attacking the puck all night long. He aggressively got to where he wanted to be on the ice. That is something Eklund has said he wanted to improve on during this preseason.

"I thought this was his best game. His most complete game," Quinn said. "[He] certainly looked a lot like he did last year. So we're really happy for him."

    Final thoughts:

Quentin Musty played well but should be headed back to juniors. Thomas Bordeleau had his best game of the preseason.

On Thursday, the San Jose Sharks will have one more preseason game in Salt Lake City.
