According to the NHL Media Site, the San Jose Sharks have added Ryan Carpenter and Ty Emberson to IR.
Emberson missed last night's game against the New York Rangers with a lower-body injury. Nico Sturm also didn't play with a lower-body injury.
Ryan Carpenter's name comes as a surprise as he played 15:52 TOI. He scored his first goal of the season.
He was playing in an elevated role with Sturm not in the lineup. His last shift ended with 2:19 remaining in the third period.
Sharks coach David Quinn did not indicate that Carpenter was injured when he spoke to the media postgame.
The Sharks take on the New York Islanders tomorrow and could be without their third and fourth-line centers.
