It has been a few years since the San Jose Sharks have had a superstar on their roster, let alone one that is homegrown.

However, Macklin Celebrini is entering that category, With his hot start to the 2025-26 season, he is catching peoples attention from all around the NHL. He could play his way onto to the 2026 Winter Olympics team for Canada.

Through 10 games this season, he has scored six goals and 10 assists for 16 points. That has him in a tie for third in the NHL for points. He finds himself in some elite company, despite the Sharks' early seasons struggles.

Celebrini has continued his great play from his rookie season. He had 25 goals and 38 assists for 63 points in 70 games. As of right now, he is playing on a 128 point pace and while he is bound to slow down. He could very well hit the 100 point mark if he continues to play this well.
