Former San Jose Sharks head coach Kevin Constantine was suspended by the WHL yesterday for the use of derogatory comments.

The WHL announced Wednesday afternoon that Kevin Constantine is suspended indefinitely after an investigation found he made "derogatory comments of a discriminatory nature."
Constantine was the Wenatchee Wild's first head coach since they relocated from Winnipeg. He was also the head coach of the San Jose Sharks from 1993-1996.
His suspension is indefinite, but Constantine will have the opportunity to be reinstated in 2025.
"The WHL holds our players and staff to a very high standard of conduct at all times," WHL commissioner Ron Robison said in a statement. "We have extensive programming which emphasizes the importance of always treating players and staff in a respectful manner, and there is a zero tolerance for any comments of a derogatory nature."
