
Former San Jose Sharks enforcer Scott Sabourin has signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning on a one-year, two-way deal.
Sabourin, 32, has played in 47 NHL games and has recorded two goals and six assists for eight points, along with 58 PIMs.
His career started with the Ottawa Senators, where he became part of an online meme when Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews looked at his nameplate and trolled him.
After that, he became a member of the Maple Leafs for just one game, where he dropped the gloves with Milan Lucic. Following that game, his career shifted back to the AHL.
In the 2023-24 season, he signed with the Sharks and played in four games over two seasons. He didn’t record a point and had nine PIM.

Sabourin originally started his career back in 2013 when he signed an entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings and played for the Ontario Reign.
