David Quinn benched San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic.

San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic was benched on Saturday night.
Head Coach David Quinn opted not to use Vlasic at any point of the game from the 10:57 mark of the second period.
Vlasic missed a game due to an injury against the Carolina Hurricanes last Tuesday. He returned to the lineup to have one of his worst games of his career against the Boston Bruins this past Thursday.
In that game, Vlasic played 13:06, a significant drop off from what Sharks fans have become used to.
Vlasic stayed on the bench through the entire game against Nashville.
San Jose lost the game 5-1 and is still the last team in the NHL to win a game.
