The San Jose Sharks have announced that Michael Misa is expected to be out of the lineup for several weeks as he recovers from his lower body injury.
Misa was first hurt during practice ahead of a game against the Winnipeg Jets. When they returned home and he was further evaluated, it was revealed that he would be out of the lineup for a few weeks.
However, after today's injury update by head coach Ryan Warsofsky, he mentioned that he is going to be out week-to-week with no update on his timeline at this time.
This obviously puts him at risk of missing the World Junior training camp that kicks off on Dec. 12th in Niagara Falls. It is clear that the main priority for the team and the player is to get him back to full health. But with that said, having him play for Team Canada and have a good tournament can really boost his confidence for when he returns to the Sharks.
Additionally, Warsofsky mentioned that Jeff Skinner will be out for at least two more weeks. He made this clear when he said that Misa is behind him in terms of recovery, which should point to just how long he will be out for.
