The San Jose Sharks could've had an offer sheet on the table for a depth power forward if he had hit the open market and been eligible for an offer sheet, but he has recently re-signed with the New York Rangers.
Matt Rempe, who is 22 years old, re-signed with the Rangers on a two-year deal. Through 59 career games, he has scored four goals and added six assists for 10 points. Last season, he had eight points through 42 games.
The Sharks, who weren't linked to Rempe, could've tried to make a push for him this summer if he had hit the open market, but now they will have to pursue other options if they want to add physicality to their bottom-six forward group.
