The San Jose Sharks (3-14-1) visit the Seattle Kraken (7-8-5) for the first time this season before Thanksgiving.
The Kraken are 2-1-2 in their last five games. Joey Daccord is expected to start in goal after Philipp Grubauer exited his previous game.
San Jose has yet to win on the road this season. A win the day before Thanksgiving would put the entire organization in a good mood for the holiday.
"I didn't even know it's Thanksgiving tomorrow, to be quite honest with you," Sharks head coach David Quinn said. "That puts it in perspective the life of a National Hockey League coach, but when this game ends, and I'm on the plane after a win, I'll feel really good and excited about Thanksgiving because it's quite frankly my favorite holiday."
Quinn confirmed that Kaapo Kahkonen will start in goal for San Jose. Kevin Labanc will miss tonight's game with an upper-body injury.
Matt Benning is still not ready to join the lineup. Nikolai Knyzhov will be the seventh defenseman. Marc-Edouard Vlasic will remain a healthy scratch.
Projected Sharks lines:
Eklund-Hertl-Zetterlund
Zadina-Granlund-Duclair
Hoffman-Kunin-Smith
Carpenter-MacDonald
Ferraro-Emberson
Okhotiuk-Burroughs
Addison-Rutta
Knyzhov
Kahkonen
Blackwood
Quinn also confirmed that Nico Sturm is still expected to rejoin the team in time for Friday's game. Sturm has been on leave with a personal issue and had to return to Germany.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and can be seen on NBC Sports California or the Sharks Audio Network.
