Canucks Top Talent Shines; Beat Sharks 3-1
The San Jose Sharks fell to the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 behind a terrific game from Quinn Hughes on Monday night.
Hughes now leads the NHL in points with 30. He scored the game's first goal on an insane snipe.
Sam Lafferty and J.T. Miller scored for the Canucks. Thatcher Demko made 27 saves.
Tomas Hertl scored his fourth goal of the season for the Sharks, and Mackenzie Blackwood made 35 saves.
Canucks Forward Nils Hoglander was ejected from the game at 18:31 of the second period for slewfooting Kevin Labanc.
The Sharks gave up a shorthanded goal with 0.7 seconds left on the clock in the second frame.
Hertl's goal came on the powerplay. Calen Addison got the primary assist for his first point as a member of the Sharks.
