Now that the 2025 offseason is in full swing, things are starting to move quickly. But before trades, signings, and roster battles take over, the first official item on the calendar is the release of the preseason schedule. The San Jose Sharks dropped theirs today, and it’s about what you’d expect this time of year.

The team is set to play six games total, split evenly between home and road. That’s the usual setup, and this year follows the same pattern.

The full schedule is below: (Home games are in bold.)

    • Sunday, Sept. 21, 5:00 PM vs. Vegas Golden Knights @ SAP Center
    • Friday, Sept. 26, 7:00 PM vs. Vegas Golden Knights @ SAP Center
    • Monday, Sept. 29, 7:00 PM @ Anaheim Ducks @ Honda Center
    • Wednesday, Oct. 1, 7:00 PM vs. Anaheim Ducks @ SAP Center
    • Friday, Oct. 3, 7:00 PM @ Vegas Golden Knights @ T-Mobile Arena
    • Saturday, Oct. 4, 6:00 PM @ Utah Mammoth @ Delta Center

According to the Sharks' site, the information on the tickets will be released at a later date.

All games will be available to watch or listen to on the Sharks + SAP Center App or at sjsharks.com/listen, making it easy for fans to follow along as the roster starts to take shape.

Before preseason begins, there are two big moments on the horizon. The 2025 NHL Draft takes place on June 27 and 28, followed by the opening of free agency on July 1. A lot can change in that window, and it’ll be interesting to see what the Sharks look like when the puck drops on September 21.

Their first pick is second overall, which they landed after falling one spot in the NHL Draft Lottery. The other may require more work from their scouting department. They hold the Dallas Stars’ 30th overall pick from the Mikael Granlund and Cody Ceci trade earlier this season.
