    The San Jose Sharks kick off their 2025-26 preseason today in a game against the Vegas Golden Knights. With it being the first game of the preseason, there shouldn't be too many big-named stars dressed. However, some teams like the Ottawa Senators elected to play majority of their top stars. 

    As for the Sharks, they are playing a good mix oof rookies, veterans and newcomers to the organization. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 pm, at the SAP center in San Jose. 

    Here are the projected lineups for Game 1 for the Sharks, please note these are subject to change. We will keep you updated as things become available. 

    Forwards:

    Jeff Skinner - Philipp Kurashev - Will Smith

    Quentin Musty- Michael Misa - Tyler Toffoli

    Egor Afanasyev - Zack Ostapchuk - Collin Graf

    Pavel Regenda - Jimmy Huntington - Anthony Vincent

    Defense:

    Nick Leddy - John Klingberg

    Sam Dickinson - Vincent Desharnais

    Luca Cagnoni - Cole Clayton

    Goalie: 

    Alec Nedeljkovic 

    Jakub Skarek 

    * Haoxi (Simon) Wang and Carson Wetsch will take warm ups but are not expected to play in the preseason game *

    The Golden Knights have also announced their lineup, which consists of more bubble players and rookies compared to the Sharks. 

    Some notable players include: Ben Hutton, Alexander Holtz, Dylan Coghlan and Keegan Kolesar.
