The San Jose Sharks have released the date for their 2025-26 home opener.

The Sharks will take on the Vegas Golden Knights on October 9th at 7:00 P.M. local time. San Jose is set to host a pre-game festival for fans attending the opener, which will include giveaways, bobbleheads, and more.

The Sharks are looking to have a better year than they did last season. Statistically, they were the worst team in the NHL and ended up with the second overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

This off-season, general manager Mike Grier has worked to bring in more veterans to help insulate the younger core they're continuing to build through the draft.

The full schedule will be released at 1:00 P.M., where we’ll get a full look at the 82-game calendar, including road trips, home stands, and any breaks in the season.
