The San Jose Barracuda picked up an impressive 8-4 win over the Henderson Silver Knights on Sunday. San Jose Sharks prospect Kasper Halttunen was a big reason for the Barracuda's win over the Silver Knights.
Halttunen certainly stepped up in a major way for the Barracuda in their victory against Henderson, as he scored three goals in the contest. With this, Halttunen was also named the First Star of the game.
With this impressive performance against the Silver Knights, Halttunen now has 10 goals, 10 assists, 20 points, and a plus-3 rating in 42 games so far this season with the Barracuda. This includes the 20-year-old forward recording four points in his last two contests for the AHL club.
Seeing Halttunen put together a game like this is certainly encouraging. There is no question that the 6-foot-2 forward has good potential, and the Sharks are hoping that he will become a nice part of their roster in the future.
It will now be interesting to see how Halttunen builds off his strong game with the Barracuda from here.
