Sharks fans are watching what could be a repeat of their 2014 first-round reverse sweep.
The Edmonton Oilers have pushed the series to game seven, becoming the 10th team in NHL history and the third team to do so in the Stanley Cup Final.
The last time a team did it in the Stanley Cup Final was the 1945 Detroit Red Wings, who lost in game seven. The only team to win the Stanley Cup after coming back from 3-0 was the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs over the Red Wings.
San Jose has been involved in the last two occasions when teams have forced a game seven after being down 3-0. In 2011, during the Conference Semi-Finals, the Sharks were up 3-0 on the Detroit Red Wings but ended up losing three straight. San Jose avoided the reverse sweep by winning game 7 3-2.
The Florida Panthers are in the same situation as the Sharks in 2014. San Jose had the home-ice advantage against the Kings and had the pleasure of hosting game seven. The Panthers are 8-4 at home in the postseason, with their most recent home game being game five, where the Oilers won 5-3.
Game seven is Monday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on ABC.
