San Jose Sharks No. 1 pick Macklin Celebrini is returning to team activities for the first time since being placed on injured reserve.
Sharks GM Mike Grier issued a statement on the status of Celebrini:
"As part of his rehabilitation plan, Macklin will return to team activities today. He has made positive progress over the past several weeks and this will be the next step toward returning to the active roster," Grier said. "We will continue to monitor his progress but no date has yet been set for his return to game action."
Celebrini is dealing with a reported hip injury, but the team has only announced a lower-body injury.
