San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.
Per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now, Celebrini's return timeline will be better known after the Sharks return home for one game against the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday.
"He's progressing well. He's still in this week-to-week phase. I think he's taking steps in the right direction," Warsofsky told SJHN. "But we'll get a better feel when we get home here on Saturday."
Celebrini is first eligible to be activated from injured reserve on Friday. His status for Sunday's game is not yet known.
Warsofsky also provided a positive update on Shakir Mukhamadullin, who has yet to play in any games due to a lower-body injury. Mukhamadullin has participated in one official practice and one optional skate with the team, but he's been skating on his own recently.
