This is Warsofsky's second time behind the bench for Team USA, but his first as the head coach. Warsofsky was former Sharks head coach David Quinn's assistant during the 2023 Worlds.
That 2023 team went on to win its first eight games of the tournament, the first time a USA team had achieved that feat.
Unfortunately for Warsofsky and USA, that team failed to medal and finished fourth.
This year's tournament will begin on May 9th and is hosted primarily in Stockholm, Sweden.
