Top San Jose Sharks goalie prospect Yaroslav Askarov has not given up a goal in two starts for the San Jose Barracuda this season.

In the Barracuda home opener, Askarov stopped 26 shots en route to his second straight shutout and win of the season.

With a revamped roster, the 'Cuda has showcased a renewed ability to score as they potted five against the Iowa Wild last night. Askarov was the backstop to an electric game for the 'Cuda, who outshot the Wild 42-26.

Defenseman Luca Cagnoni scored his first professional goal with a terrific wrist shot from the point.

Through three games, the Barracuda are 2-1 and have outscored their opponents 13-4.
