San Jose Sharks top prospect Quentin Musty suffered a broken hand and will be out long-term.
Musty was hit along the boards by Anaheim Ducks prospect Beckett Sennecke in an awkward position last night, causing him to get injured.
Musty's season has been a bumpy one. The forward started the season holding out of the Sudbury Wolves lineup while seeking a trade. He would eventually return to the team and has since played 11 games. In those games, Musty has eight goals and 12 assists.
Musty will miss extended time and not be healthy enough to play for Team USA at the 2025 IIHF World Junior. Hockey insider Jeff Marek also notes that the winger will be out past the OHL trade deadline.
