Newly acquired forward Zack Ostapchuk will make his San Jose Sharks debut against the Washington Capitals on Saturday.

The forward was acquired from the Ottawa Senators in a trade that sent Fabian Zetterlund the other way.

In practice on Friday, Ostapchuk skated as the fourth-line center for head coach Ryan Warsofsky.

"Short practice with the game tomorrow, but obviously a big guy who can skate," Warsofsky said. "I think he's a guy that knows his identity, so gonna throw him right in there and see what he can do."

Klim Kostin and Nikolai Kovalenko were on the ice for practice but skated as the extras during the line rush portion.
