William Eklund scored his game-winning goal on the powerplay, his fourth GWG of the season.
Mackenzie Blackwood is expected to start tonight. He has been Kaapo Kahkonen's backup for the last two games. Blackwood did not dress in the two games prior due to an illness and hasn't started since Dec. 23 against the Vancouver Canucks.
David Quinn put the team through a challenging practice yesterday and said they needed to up their pace. Against a team like the Winnipeg Jets, pace is needed.
The Jets sit one point out of first place in the Central Division but have two games in hand on the Colorado Avalanche. San Jose will have their hands full yet again tonight.
Kyle Burroughs and Henry Thrun didn't practice yesterday, but Quinn does not believe they will miss tonight's game.
