Logan Couture has not participated in training camp or practice with the San Jose Sharks this season.

Head Coach David Quinn has told THN that the captain has been dealing with a lower-body injury.

"Little bit of a setback. I know there's going to be more tests and evaluation, so we'll see," Quinn said on the possibility of Couture coming back in November.

Couture has skated twice on his own but was held off the ice on Tuesday as a day off. After being held off the ice again today, DQ told the media he had a setback.

"Seeing him around here is killing him, but he's not gonna get out there until we're 100% sure that he's ready to go," Quinn said. "He's frustrated and pissed, but this is part of being a pro athlete, unfortunately."

As for finding the guy to fill in for the missing Couture, Quinn will turn to Mikael Granlund.

"You will be hard-pressed to find many guys in a better position," Quinn said. "He's had a great camp, and there's a lot to like about him as a player and person. We're real happy to have him."

Nikita Okhotiuk and Jacob MacDonald are also dealing with injuries. Quinn said that their return all depends on pain tolerance. Radim Simek skated on his own this morning for the first time since he was injured during the preseason.
