San Jose Sharks head coach David Quinn officially ruled Logan Couture out ahead of Thursday's opening night game.
San Jose Sharks head coach David Quinn confirmed that Logan Couture won't play on Thursday.
Couture did not skate today after skating on his own on Monday. DQ confirmed that it was a day off and that he will see how he feels tomorrow.
"[He] won't be available for us in the home opener," Quinn said. "It's going to be some time, but we're optimistic. We feel good about him moving forward."
Quinn confirmed there is still no timeline on the captain's potential return.
"Still week-to-week," Quinn said.
Thomas Bordeleau looks to be the most significant San Jose Sharks player to benefit from Couture missing time. He will start on a line with Anthony Duclair and Alex Barabanov.
