Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports - Sharks Trapped in Ottawa Amid Snowstorm; Won't Travel to Buffalo Tonight

The San Jose Sharks' travel plans are being put on the backburner after the team lost to the Ottawa Senators.

San Jose lost 5-4 to the Senators and is scheduled to play the Buffalo Sabres on Monday morning. The NHL has already pushed the game's start time from 1 p.m. EST to noon.

The NFL's Buffalo Bills were supposed to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday but postponed the game until Monday due to weather conditions.

The northeast of the U.S. is getting pounded by a heavy snowstorm. The Bills were offering the people of Buffalo to help shovel snow at one point to have the game start on time.

The conditions have become too severe, and the stadium has been covered in snow.

The Sharks broadcast said that the Airport in Buffalo had been shut down due to weather conditions. The team announced they will stay in Ottawa tonight and won't hold a practice tomorrow.

It is unclear whether the Sharks planned to hold practice with tomorrow's day off. The team will likely provide an update tomorrow on its travel plans.
