If the San Jose Sharks are to get out of this funk, Kevin Labanc needs to start producing.

The San Jose Sharks need Kevin Labanc to produce some offense if they get out of this funk.
Now, he is not the only player that the Sharks need to produce; that is for another article, but for today, the story is on Banker.
Labanc has no points in six games this season. However, he is bringing more to the table. He has eight hits in his six games and is working on winning more battles.
"Just trying to add it in and play a little gritty and be a pest on the ice," Labanc said about his physicality. "[I'm] just trying to do everything I can to get us out of this rut. It's a little bit frustrating, so you kind of take that rage, and you put it on the ice."
Sharks head coach David Quinn notices, too.
"He's done a good job since he's been back in the lineup," Quinn told THN. "I'm glad he feels good about his game. You can see it in his face, and you can see his work ethic. There's definitely been an uptick in his game."
There is a calm confidence surrounding Labanc right now. In talking with him, he clearly shows that there is a weight taken off of his shoulders and is just playing simple hockey.
"I feel good. [I'm] just controlling what I can control on the ice and just work hard," Labanc said. "A dog on a bone, first man to pucks, throw some checks, get in front of the net, and trying to get some rebounds. Puck recoveries [is something] I've been really trying to focus on. The goals will start coming. It's just being patient and playing the right way."
He also has ten shots on goal this season, which is a good sign as, in the past, he has been a pass-first player. The San Jose Sharks need goals, and Labanc feels that he can help in that area.
