Game Day 56 Lineups: Kraken Vs Kings cover image

The Seattle Kraken take on the Los Angeles Kings in their final game before the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The Seattle Kraken hope to avenge their loss last night to the Anaheim Ducks and remain in a positive situation in the Pacific Division standings with a win over the Los Angeles Kings tonight.

Currently, the Kraken are two points behind the Ducks for third place in the division and one point ahead of the Kings. A regulation loss would drop them in the standings.

Prior to the loss to the Ducks, the Kraken had won four consecutive games. The Kings, too, enter tonight’s game losers of their most recent affair, falling to the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 in overtime.

Although he likely won’t be in the lineup tonight, the Kings are receiving reinforcements, as they’ve struck a trade with the New York Rangers to land Artemi Panarin.

The 34-year-old has notched 19 goals and 57 points in 52 games this season. The Kings lack star scoring power upfront, and Panarin will be a major boost when he makes his Los Angeles debut.

Earlier today, the Kraken recalled Oscar Fisker Molgaard from the AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds. He’s expected to be a healthy scratch unless any unforeseen injuries occur before puck drop.

Kraken projected lineup:

McCann-Beniers-Eberle
Tolvanen-Stephenson-Winterton
Schwartz-Wright-Kakko
Kartye-Gaudreau-Melanson

Dunn-Larsson
Oleksiak-Montour
Evans-Lindgren

Daccord
Grubauer

Injured: Catton, Meyers, Murray
Scratched: Fleury, Mahura, Fisker Molgaard

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. PST at Crypto.com Arena.
