
Seattle, WA - The Kraken rallied twice on Tuesday night in hopes of closing out the season with one final win, but the Kings’ offense proved too strong, securing a 6–5 victory in Seattle. Despite the loss, the night featured several standout moments. Most notably, Ville Ottavainen who made his NHL debut and registered his first career point with an assist, becoming just the third draft pick in franchise history to earn a point in their debut game.

Thirteen Kraken skaters recorded at least one point in the season finale, including Brandon Montour, who scored his 18th goal of the year to briefly break the tie in the second period. Montour finishes the season as Seattle’s leading defenseman in both goals and total points (41). He was also honored by fans as the Fan Favorite Player of the Year.
Tye Kartye opened the scoring for Seattle in the second period with a shorthanded goal, contributing on the penalty kill and marking the Kraken’s third shorthanded goal of the season.
Jaden Schwartz capped off his strong campaign as Seattle’s leading goal-scorer, notching his 26th goal of the season. He was awarded the Guy Fielder Award, given to the skater who best exemplifies “perseverance, hustle, and dedication.”
Matty Beniers added a power-play goal in the third period to cut the Kings’ lead to 6–4, becoming the fifth player in franchise history to post multiple 20-goal seasons.
Eeli Tolvanen added another power-play tally—his 23rd goal of the season—setting a new career high and bringing the Kraken within one goal in the final moments of regulation.

Veteran forward Jordan Eberle, who returned from injury on February 22, picked up an assist to extend his point streak to three games, matching his longest streak of the season.
Kaapo Kakko also wrapped up a strong campaign, setting career highs in both assists (30) and total points (44) with his performance against Los Angeles.
Shane Wright picked up an assist on Tolvanen’s goal, closing out a breakout season with 44 points (19 goals, 25 assists).
Goaltender Joey Daccord made 18 saves on 24 shots and was recognized during the postgame ceremony with two major team honors: the Three Stars Award, given to the player with the most star points throughout the season, and the Pete Muldoon Award, awarded to the team’s most valuable player, as voted by the Seattle chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association. Daccord finished the season with 27 wins and ranked in the top seven among NHL goaltenders.

The night also served as a tribute to Kraken fans, who stood by the team through a rollercoaster season. Following the awards ceremony, team captain Jordan Eberle addressed the crowd, thanking them for their support and promising a stronger performance next season.

Fans can now look ahead to the annual “Paint the Ice” event. Dates and location are still to be announced.
