One day after announcing the trade of Yanni Gourde and Oliver Bjorkstrand, the Kraken made two more moves on Friday morning ahead of the deadline. Seattle acquired a 2027 second-round pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for forward Brandon Tanev and secured a 2026 seventh-round pick from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Daniel Sprong.
On Saturday, the Kraken will continue their three-game road trip with a stop in Philadelphia for an early contest against the Flyers, before concluding the trip on Sunday in Washington, D.C., against the Capitals.
Saturday’s game marks the final meeting of the season between the Kraken and the Flyers, with Seattle leading the series 1-0 after a heated 6-4 win on October 17, 2024. The Kraken hold a 4-2-1 all-time record against Philadelphia, although they are 1-2-0 on the road against them.
