Seattle Kraken forward Michael Eyssimont has been added to Team USA's 2024 IIHF Men's World Championship roster.

The 28-year-old will represent Team USA for the third consecutive tournament. His first two tournaments witnessed him score two goals and four points in 17 games. Before representing the Americans at the World Championship's, Eyssimont had never played an international tournament.

The Kraken acquired Eyssimont in a trade prior to the deadline. The move saw the Kraken land the Littleton, CO native, two first-round picks and a second-round pick from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Yanni Gourde and Oliver Bjorkstrand.

In 20 games following the trade, Eyssimont scored two goals and six points, serving as a bottom-six winger. Heading into the offseason, Eyssimont is one of the two pending UFAs the Kraken employ.

At the moment, the Kraken haven't held any talks about his future with the organization, but Eyssimont spoke very highly about the team in his locker room clean-out interviews.

If Eyssimont has an impressive tournament, it could help sway the Kraken's management into looking at an extension. He'll be joining Kraken teammates Matty Beniers and Joey Daccord on Team USA, as they look to win gold for the first time since 1960.
