The first goal Joseph was the beneficiary of a 2-on-1 with Claude Giroux. He received the puck from Giroux and then sniped a shot past Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy at 13:35 of the first period.
As if that wasn't enough for him, he scored again later in the second. This time around he took the puck away from Steven Stamkos, just as he entered the Senators zone. From there he turned on the jets through the neutral zone, blazed past Eric Cernak and snuck the puck past Vasilevskiy blocker side.

His second goal would stand as the game winner for the Senators. The former Lightning forward registered four shots in total and one hit in 19:11 of ice time.
Joseph has four points against the Lightning this year - collecting another goal plus an assist in the other two games earlier this season. The Lightning play the Senators one more time this season, on April 11th.
