A former fan favorite returned to Tampa last night and got a warm welcome from the fans.
The Tampa Bay Lightning got a big 7-3 win over the Minnesota Wild last night. The team's explosive offense was a big talking point from the game, but another excellent aspect of it happened while the game was paused.

Former Lightning forward Pat Maroon deservingly received a tribute video in his first game back at Amalie Arena. The gritty winger was one of the Bolts' most hard-working players during his tenure there, so he was, understandably, a fan favorite.
Maroon made a big impact in the Lightning's bottom six during his days with the club, primarily because of his immense physicality. It is an element of his game that the Lightning certainly miss, as it helped play a role in their back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021.

In four seasons with the Lightning, Maroon had 29 goals, 82 points, and 511 hits in 280 games.
Maroon was not the only player who received a tribute, as former Lightning defenseman Zach Bogosian also got some love from fans. The Bolts dealt him to the Wild during the beginning stages of the season after four years with the club.
