J.T. Miller’s season has come to an end.
The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Vancouver Canucks by a 3-2 final score in Game 7 on Monday night. With this, the Canucks’ magical 2023-24 season has come to an end.
While it stings to see the Canucks get knocked out, the Pacific Division club should be proud of all that they accomplished this year. They took a massive step forward and cemented themselves as genuine contenders.
With the Canucks being eliminated, it also puts an end to former Lightning forward J.T. Miller’s excellent year. The star forward was a significant reason for the Canucks’ turnaround, as he not only dominated offensively but also grew as a leader.
Miller appeared in 81 regular-season games, posting 37 goals and 103 points – both new career highs. He then followed that up with a strong postseason, recording three goals and 12 points in 13 games. Miller also ended the Oilers series with six points in seven games.
Since being traded by the Lightning to the Canucks, Miller has taken advantage of his bigger opportunities and has emerged as one of the NHL’s top stars because of it. Now, after a successful season helping lead the Canucks, he will aim to have the team take another massive step in 2024-25.
