While speaking to reporters, including Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Bay Lightning head coach shared that he expects defenseman J.J. Moser will be out week-to-week.
Moser, 24, was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 14 after suffering an injury in the Lightning's Dec. 12 matchup against the Calgary Flames.
Moser expected to be out week-to-week is tough news for the Lightning. The 2021 second-round pick has been excellent for the Bolts since being acquired last off-season, posting two goals, 10 points, and a plus-13 rating in 27 contests. He has also spent plenty of time on the top pairing with Victor Hedman because of his strong play.

The Lightning will now need to adjust with Moser expected to be out for a decent chunk of time. With Moser out, the Lightning recalled defenseman Declan Carlile from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.
