    This Lightning forward is heading back to the AHL.

    The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-assigned forward Conor Sheary to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

    The Lightning recalled Sheary on Saturday, shortly before their latest matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 32-year-old winger was in the lineup against the Maple Leafs, where he had three shots in 21 shifts and 12:18 of ice time.

    Sheary has played in four games this season with the Lightning, where he has zero points, four penalty minutes, and a minus-2 rating. Down in the AHL with the Crunch this campaign, he has three goals and seven points in 11 games.
