The Lightning have signed their second prospect in two days.
Just one day after signing center Milo Roelens to a three-year, entry-level NHL contract, the Tampa Bay Lightning are at it again. This time, they have signed center Gabriel Szturc to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Szturc, 20, is the current captain of the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL. In 53 games on the season thus far, he has 27 goals to go along with 67 points. Overall, the undrafted forward is having a strong season with the Rockets, and he has earned this ELC because of it.
Szturc has been on the Lightning's radar in the past, as he participated in their training camp before the start of the 2023-24 season.

Overall, there is absolutely zero harm in the Lightning taking a chance on Szturc. Their prospect pool could use more improvement, and it will be intriguing to see if he can make an impact for the Bolts later down the road.
