The Lightning have signed this goalie to an NHL contract.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed goaltender Brandon Halverson to a two-year NHL contract.

Halverson, 28, was under an AHL contract with the Syracuse Crunch. Now, due to his solid play this season with the Crunch, he has earned this NHL deal from the Bolts.

Halverson has been excellent for the Crunch this campaign, posting a 12-7-7 record, a 2.20 goals-against average, a .918 save percentage, and four shutouts. This is after he had a 7-3-3 record, a .913 save percentage, and a 2.18 goals-against average in 2023-24 with Syracuse.

Halverson was selected 59th overall by the New York Rangers during the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He made one NHL appearance with the Blueshirts in 2017-18, where he stopped five out of six shots he faced.
