With the Tampa Bay Lightning looking to boost their top six last off-season, they signed star winger Jake Guentzel to a seven-year, $63 million contract. So far, this is a decision that the Lightning undoubtedly have zero regrets about.

Guentzel has been a spectacular addition to the Lightning's roster and has provided them with great offense. Because of this, he has now hit an impressive career milestone.

During the Lightning's April 1 contest against the New York Islanders, Guentzel recorded the 300th assist of his NHL career on Victor Hedman's third-period goal. This was just over two minutes after Guentzel scored his 38th goal of the season. It took Guentzel 593 career games to hit his 300th career assist.

With this two-point night, Guentzel now has 74 points in 73 games this season with the Lightning. He has provided the Lightning with everything they had hoped for in his first season in Tampa Bay.
