Will Nikita Kucherov be the next NHL player to hit 1,000 career points?moreVideos

The Tampa Bay Lightning picked up a massive 8-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday (Dec. 5). The Lightning had 13 players record at least one point in the contest, but star forward Brayden Point was the top star of the night.

Point, who has been scoring goals at a ridiculous pace this season, played the playmaker role in this contest against the Sharks. The 2014 third-round pick had an impressive four-assist night.

After recording four assists against the Sharks, Point now has 16 goals and 25 points in 20 games this season. He has had a wonderful season so far and is not showing any signs of slowing down.

Since returning from injury on Nov. 19 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Point has 12 points in just eight games. The star forward is feeling it, and it will be fascinating to see how he builds on his hot streak from here.
