On Tuesday, Steven Stamkos returned to Amalie Arena for the first time since signing his four-year, $32 million contract with the Nashville Predators. Understandably, Stamkos was given an incredible tribute for all that he did for the organization.

Stamkos also impressed in his return to Tampa Bay, as he put together a two-assist game.

Following the game, Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman discussed Stamkos' return to Tampa Bay. Here is what the current Lightning captain had to say on the matter, as reported by Bally Sports' Gabby Shirley:

"It was pretty cool. The crowd started chanting his name (Stamkos), and they gave him a little bit of an applause when he had two apples, so it was good to see him back."

Facing off against Stamkos must have been a strange feeling for Hedman, as he was teammates with No. 91 for the first 15 years of his NHL career. They naturally formed a great friendship along the way.

Stamkos' first game back in Tampa Bay was certainly a memorable one, and it will be fascinating to see him face off against the Bolts on Nov. 29.
