The Maple Leafs brought back the starting lineup theme they used during the 2000s.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have brought back a familiar song as part of their game operations.

As players made their way to the ice for the start of their game against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday, 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica played throughout Scotiabank Arena.

The song was a staple for the Maple Leafs in the 2000s as part of player introductions and it looks like it could be a change for the long haul.

It's been a massive week for the club in terms of changing things up from a game operations standpoint. During the home opener, the club unveiled a new goal song. 'You Make My Dreams' by Hall & Oates, which had been the club's goal song for the past five seasons, was replaced with a Steve Aoki remix of Kid Cudi's 'Pursuit of Happiness'.
