Mark Giordano Returns in Final Regular Season Meeting Between Maple Leafs and Blue Jackets, Lineups and Where to Watch

Giordano is projected to skate on the Maple Leafs' third pairing with Liljegren on Friday night against Columbus.

Joseph Woll was on a roll but now the Toronto Maple Leafs will be without him for the next little while. What does this mean for Ilya Samsonov?

The Maple Leafs and Blue Jackets meet for the final time in the regular season on Friday night in Columbus.

Toronto is welcoming back defenseman Mark Giordano after he missed the last 12 games with a broken finger. The 40-year-old come into the lineup for William Lagesson, who skated on the fourth pairing at practice on Thursday.

In net for the first time since the Maple Leafs' 9-3 loss to the New York Rangers is Ilya Samsonov. This is a big game for him after the goaltender admitted he was struggling mentally before the holiday break.

Both the team and Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe are hoping that the few days off the ice can help his game.

The Maple Leafs' last two games against the Blue Jackets have had a lot of goals. First, it was the game where Toronto came back after being down 5-0, ultimately losing the game in overtime. The second game had the Maple Leafs' top-six firing on all cylinders, scoring all four goals in their 4-1 win, just two days before Christmas.

William Nylander looks to continue his 12-game point streak going into Friday's matchup. The 27-year-old has 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) during the 12-game span.

Auston Matthews is also on a point streak of 11 games. During that span, the 26-year-old has 21 points (14 goals, seven assists).

    Where to watch

The game will be available in the Maple Leafs region on Sportsnet Ontario. For the rest of Canada, the matchup can be streamed on Sportsnet+. In the Columbus, Ohio, area, Bally Sports Ohio will have the game. Others in the United States can stream the game on ESPN+ and Fubo Sports US.

The rest of the world can find the game on NHL Live. Puck drop is scheduled for just after 7:00 p.m. ET.
