The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Los Angeles Kings and the national broadcast in the United States is the main reason why.
If you're used to watching home games at Scotiabank Arena in the seven o'clock hour, note the later start time.
The Maple Leafs will host the Los Angeles Kings with the broadcast beginning at 8 p.m. ET as ESPN's main network televised the game nationally.
It's something the network usually pulls as a rightsholder for their national broadcasts occasionally. The game will also allow them to draw more of a Kings' audience that would be able to watch the game at 5 p.m. locally instead of 4 p.m.
In Canada, the game will be on in the Maple Leafs' region on TSN4. For the rest of the country, the game will stream on the Sportsnet+ premium tier.
The Maple Leafs will go with the same lineup as the one they had in their 3-2 overtime loss to the Nashville Predators on Saturday. The only difference will be in goal where the Leafs will continue to ride the hot glove of Joseph Woll. The rookie goaltender is 3-1-0 this season with a .961 save percentage.
On the Los Angeles side, no much in terms of lineup changes are expected and Kings head coach Todd McLellan told reporters on Monday that it was "likely" that Cam Talbot would get the start in goal against the Leafs. He is 3-2-1 with a .905 save percentage.
