Cowan followed up his five-point night with a goal and two assists in his team's Game 2 victory against the Oshawa Generals.

After another disappointing Toronto Maple Leafs playoff loss, it's time to break up the core four forwards and that might mean moving on from Mitch Marner, who becomes a free agent at the end of the 2024-25 season.

Easton Cowan continues to put up big numbers with the London Knights.

The Toronto Maple Leafs prospects scored a goal and added two assists to help the Knights defeat the Oshawa Generals 9-1 to take a 2-0 series lead in the OHL Championship.

London's win comes off an 8-1 victory in Game 1 when Cowan put up a goal and added four assists.

It's been a breakout season for Cowan. Considered a bit of a reach when the Toronto Maple Leafs selected Cowan with their first pick (28th overall) in the NHL Draft, Cowan had  34 goals and 62 assists for 96 points in 54 games. He won the Red Tilson Award as the OHL's most outstanding player after setting a Knights franchise record with a 36-game points streak.

If the Knights beat the Generals, Cowan would be on his way to his first Memorial Cup tournament. With each passing game, Cowan continues to prove the Leafs correct for picking him when they did in the Draft.
