Cowan finished seventh in OHL scoring this season with 34 goals and 62 assists in 54 games.

Easton Cowan, following his historic point streak with the OHL's London Knights, was nominated for one of the league's most prestigious awards.

The 18-year-old forward is one of 20 nominees for the Red Tilson Trophy, which is awarded to the OHL's Most Outstanding Player. The award will be voted on by writers and broadcasters who are accredited by the league.

Cowan currently has points in 38 straight games (regular season and playoffs) with the London Knights. He has 26 goals and 45 assists for 71 points throughout that span.

The forward finished the regular season with 34 goals and 62 assists in 54 games, which is good enough for seventh in OHL scoring and second on the Knights this year.

Cowan was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the first round (28th overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft after scoring 20 goals and 33 assists in 68 games with the Knights last season.

He made a good impression following the draft when he performed well at the Traverse City Prospects Tournament and Toronto's training camp before he was returned to the OHL on Oct. 10, one day before the Maple Leafs' season began.

Cowan and Toronto agreed to a three-year entry-level contract on Aug. 10 that carries an annual average value of $935,833.

Marko Sikic, who recently signed an ECHL deal with the Newfoundland Growlers, is also among the nominees for Red Tilson Trophy.
