The Toronto Maple Leafs unveiled a brand new goal song in their 6-5 shootout win against the Montreal Canadiens and the players appear to be on board.
It had been rumored during training camp and then later confirmed by Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment that a brand new goal song would debut on Wednesday.
When Toronto Maple Leafs forward Noah Gregor scored his team's first goal of the game in a 6-5 shootout victory against the Montreal Canadiens, a Steve Aoki remix of Kid Cudi's 'Pursuit of Happiness' blared throughout Scotiabank Arena, doing away with the club's previous goal song of 'You Make My Dreams' by Hall & Oates.

Auston Matthews made the song play three times with his eight career hat trick and was dialed in he didn't even note the change.
"I didn't even remember that it didn't even register," Matthews said after the game. "I'll have to give it a listen again later tonight."
Some players had input in the song. Like Matthews, Marner also didn't notice the change at the time.
"It's a hell of a song, so I like it," Marner said of the change.
One player who didn't weigh in on the decision to change the song was 33-year-old Maple Leafs captain John Tavares.
"I don't think that's my specialty," he said with a smile. "I know when to stay in my lane, I guess."
The Maple Leafs intend to use a few different goal songs. The current one will be used for most games. A throwback tune will debut on 'Throwback Thursday' games and another tune will debut for the 'Next Gen' games
"We want to hear it a lot," Tavares added. "It sounded good to me."
