
Justin Holl gets term and a pay increase after spending his entire NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Justin Holl has found a new home.
The former Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman has signed a three-year contract with an average annual value of $3.4 million.
Holl had two goals and 16 assists in 80 games last season. During the playoffs, Holl was limited to one assist in eight games
It was unlikely that the Leafs were going to re-sign Holl, who was coming off a three-year, $6 million contract with Toronto.
The 31-year-old defenseman had spent his entire NHL career with the Maple Leafs and invested a lot of time in Minnesota native. The 6-foot-3 defenseman joins a defense corps that includes Ben Chiarot and Jake Walman.
Holl wasn't the only former Maple Leaf signed by the Red Wings. They signed goaltender James Reimer to a one-year, $1.5 million contract, Reimer's agent, Ray Petkau revealed on Twitter
