The Toronto Maple Leafs will continue to roll with Joseph Woll in net following his first Stanley Cup Playoff victory.
Fresh off their Game 4 victory against the Florida Panthers, the Toronto Maple Leafs will keep rookie goaltender Joseph Woll in the net when both teams meet again at Scotiabank Arena.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed to reporters in Fort Lauderdale that regular playoff starter Ilya Samsonov remains unavailable due to an upper-body injury.
Woll made 24 saves in his first NHL playoff start on Wednesday, helping the Maple Leafs stave off elimination with a 2-1 victory.
"It was a pretty awesome game to get to get put into," Woll said after the game. "Any opportunity I get with this team is pretty special, so I think it was awesome for me to see how hard we played tonight. Guys blocking shots and putting it all on the line was pretty awesome."
The 24-year-old had come on in relief for Samsonov in Game 3 when the goaltender was injured early in the second period.
Meanwhile, it also looks like the Leafs will continue to be without Matthew Knies. The rookie forward missed Games 3 and 4 with a concussion and was on the team's road trip. He did not practice with the club when they skated at FLA Live Arena on Tuesday, although he did some work on the exercise bike.
The Maple Leafs take on the Panthers in Game 5 action on Friday at Scotiabank Arena, Florida leads the series 3-1.
